Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Stacks account and what happens to your data when you do. Stacks is operated by ORO Labs Pte. Ltd.

Deleting your account from within the app

You can permanently delete your Stacks account directly in the app at any time:

  • Open the Stacks app and sign in.
  • Go to the Profile tab.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap "Close account" (below "Log Out").
  • Read the confirmation, then confirm to permanently delete your account.

Before you can delete your account, your wallet must be empty. If you still hold gold or USDC, sell or withdraw it first — deleting your account closes your in-app wallet, and any remaining balance would be lost.

If you no longer have the app installed

If you have uninstalled Stacks or cannot access your account, email us at support@orogold.app from the email address associated with your account and request account deletion. We will verify your identity and process the request.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove the personal data that identifies you, including:

  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your profile information (display name and avatar)
  • Your sign-in credentials and in-app wallet
  • Push notification tokens and in-app notifications
  • Referral records associated with your profile

What data is retained, and why

As a financial services product, we are legally required to keep certain records even after your account is deleted. In line with our Privacy Policy and applicable anti-money-laundering (AML/CFT), tax, and other regulatory obligations, we retain a limited set of records — such as transaction history and identity-verification (KYC) records — for the period required by law. These records are disassociated from your active profile and are kept solely for legal and compliance purposes. They are securely deleted once the applicable retention period expires.
